Back in May, some wrong-thinking citizens chose to ignore the orders of armed policemen to stay behind the barricades that are used these days to create a sort of playpen for whining liberals. We have to do this to keep them from disrupting and distracting important people like Dick Cheney.

This particular incident took place in Oklahoma.

These crazy liberals should be overjoyed to live in a country where that kind of abhorrent behavior results is something as painless as 16 hours of community service. Heck, five of them walked away from the courthouse Scott free because the police could not positively identify them. They probably shaved off their hippy beards.

Another politician might have made a long drawn out speak attempting to bridge the gap between sister marryin’ people and those who choose to marry outside the family.

If and when Dick Cheney announces his intention to be President, he will be brief and to the point.

Losers like John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich and Rudy Giuliani are stuck selling their t-shirts and buttons at a discount or in the case of Dennis, selling them of at eight cents a piece as rags.

My items are holding firm at the original prices. I was actually thinking of tying the prices to the price of oil somehow, but it would have been too complicated.

Operation Iraqi Buddy-System

I have a flawless plan for ending the violence in Iraq. I call it Operation Iraqi Buddy-System. It is better than just some piddly little troop surge. My plan calls for a 1:1 ratio of Iraqi citizens to US military personnel. Every man, woman and child will be accompanied day and night by a benevolent liberator. The US military will have to rethink recruiting strategies because I think my plan requires more women and children than are presently enlisted.

All I am saying is give peace a chance.

If the people in a few towns in Vermont are picturing Dick Cheney shaking in his boots after their little resolutions to have him arrested received a vote of approval, they are sadly mistaken.

Actually, as I write this, one small division of Haliburton is completing a small job for which they recently received a no bid contract. Everyone in Vermont gets new license plates. Now instead of ‘Green Mountain State’ they actually say ‘Sadly Mistaken’… Yeah, it’s not very catchy, but it was short notice.

Cheney Cancels Turkey Trip

Dick Cheney had planned to go on an official visit to Turkey and his last minute cancellation is seen as a sign of increasing tension between the United States and a country that invaded Iraq without the approval of the international community. I am wondering if it might be possible that he is clearing his schedule for a last minute run for the Presidency

He’s credited, of course, for many words of wisdom, including the advice that “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.” (Laughter.) Just so you’ll know, I’ve got two of them. (Laughter.)
