The White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner is typically a boring social obligation that a sitting President must endure 4-8 times in his life. If Rich Little is the entertainment, several dead Presidents must suffer in absentia as well. I think we can look forward to a major change in 2009 when Cheney is President. Dick is renowned for his incredible and good-natured sense of humor. The 2009 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner will not feature some pale imitation of Bill O’Riley. In fact, I think it would be a great idea to have the real Bill O’Riley speak at the dinner. I know, Bill O’Riley is not a comedian, but he has those laughing eyes.
I think that the after dinner entertainment should also include FOX alumni Andy Dick with one of his trademark staged disruptions. The twist will be that he gets tasered. I’m laughing just thinking about it.
